Bad Curve Kills Hobbs Couple In Traffic Crash
A fatal early morning crash ten miles north of Jal claims the lives of J. T. Hunter Sr. and Horace C. Puckett. Hunter, 61, a South Lea County sheep inspector, left a widow, three daughters and a son. Puckett, 36, with McQueen and Clevenger Drilling, left a widow and five children. Double funeral services were held in Hobbs.

Scouts Plan Two Big Events for Anniversary Week
