Town Notes and Notices from Jackson Wyoming

Guy Shannon was in town early this week. Dick Mayer rents Jim Estes place. Dick Turpin came from his Gravant ranch for supplies. For sale a good gentle maddie mare weight 1100 at Redsomds Ranch Jackson Wyoming. The Women's Relief Society of the L D 8 church held an all day meeting with Mrs J M Robertson at Cheney last Thursday. Ladies sewed then enjoyed a pleasant day with Mrs Robertson. Dance at the Clubhouse on Thanksgiving night. James Hodge visited from Graystown on business Saturday. Mary McKean is recovering and walking daily. Hopson was in Jackson Monday. J S Simpson and party returned from the Billy Sunday hunting trip with elk and sheep heads.

School District to Be Intact in Flat Creek Region

A special meeting held last Friday in Flat Creek approved reintegrating the district, with Flat Creek residents assured of a local schoolhouse and a nine month term. The contract to finish the schoolhouse went to Louie Larson, and the combined district is expected to offer an equal school term to Jackson.

Elk Hunt Leads Bedford Man Home This Morning

Bedford of Twin Falls Idaho has obtained his elk after a hunting trip with Roy McBride and returned home this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chambers voted Tuesday and stayed in Jackson until Wednesday. Frank McBride came down from Zenith Wednesday. Genuine Navajo blankets for sale at Seelemire ranch in good condition. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spicer visiting in Jackson this week. Rev T A Wallace Rev Blodgett and Rev Harris traveled up Cache Creek canyon early this week, with Harris securing their jerk. They left Thursday for Casper and Worland. Mr. and Mr P V Somers from Flat Creek were in town Wednesday. Paul Imeson from Hoback was in town Wednesday. Wm Mierer was in town Saturday.

A letter from W Hunnicutt reports leaving a meat school post in Alaska now located at Igloo Alaska and describes a perilous voyage in Berin Sea waters with a near cargo loss and a rescue by the revenue cutter Tahoma. He also mentions seeing whales and walrus and plans to head inland from Nome.

Returns Coming Slowly in Idaho and local county races

Meagre election returns show Kendrick and Houx winning as Republicans take Forsyth Clark and Menietl. Gates and Mondell also win by slim margins. Idaho elected a Democratic governor Smoot with a small majority, while Democratic leads appear elsewhere in the East amid a slate of local county and state offices and ballots.
