The sudden death of O. L. Lumbeck after a pneumonia attack stunned the valley. He died Friday, June 23, and funeral services were held Sunday at 2 PM from the Mormon church, with burial in Aspin Grove Cemetery per Odd Fellow ritual. He was born October 1882 in Twin Lakes, Colorado, moved to Wyoming as a child, served as a Jackson mail carrier, and leaves a wife Viola Delaney and four children Lola Edward Joe and Dee. Survived by his father G. Lambeck, brother George, and sisters Etta Link Edne Willy Dora Webber. He belonged to Jackson Lodge I. O. F. and was highly regarded.
Hyrum Larson of Poestello Idaho for Mutual Creamery Co spent days in Jackson Hole arranging cream stations with Wes Mercill Jack son Wun Strober Kelly and others to manage stations. Transportation remains unsettled but farmers expect to pay 1 to 1.50 for freight over the hill and merchants will backhaul to create a weekly business stream.

Sargent Webb and Wm Ellison made an expensive Buffalo Fork rafting trip for a spring fur catch. Their raft carried furs including three bear hides with a grizzly. A bad-water dive sank their raft and gear. they swam ashore. The next day Stilson’s gun and martin hide were recovered. others were lost. They escaped drowning and, amid the bear, feel less distress over the loss.
A. J. Lannon and wife from Hoback Canyon spent several days in Jackson last week. Through Lannon’s push the road from Jackson to Victor had grate and ice cleared. Two White trucks could not pull over the hill until Victor Mercantile Co. lent help. Work started Thursday and finished Sunday. Also notices seek to buy 1100 pound peck horns and offer repair and watchmaking services in Jackson.
Rev. Arthur M. Beaty arrived in Jackson to lead St. John’s Episcopal mission after leaving Grace Church Cortland New York. He previously directed church work at Casper Glenrock and Lusk from 1916 to 1918 and plans to open hostel facilities for valley use, starting with a functioning shower bath and future improvements.

The bodies of Harvey Taylor and James Smith were buried at Kelly on Saturday afternoon. Services were conducted in the UK with Rev. A. N. Beaty officiating. George Harvey Taylor born December 18, 1897 in Lite Rock Arkansas, had been a resident of Jackson's Hole for the last fifteen years. Survived by two brothers and a sister. James Hamilton Smith born July 15, 1901 at Lakelle Mines, lived with his parents at cargo since the family moved to this nation. Survived by mother, father, three brothers and four sisters. The sympathy of the entire group with both families in their recent bereavement.
A new bus service will run from Lander to Yellowstone National Park via Dubois Two-Gw-Pass and Moran. Five buses will shuttle Rawlins to Lander for regular routes. The Two Gwoten Pass road will reopen for park traffic July 1 with 60 men still at work. Hone Mountain Highway is also being realigned.
