Aspen Ridge Notes From The Ridge Lie District
Koerner visited Friendean the Ridge Lie first of the week and Henson spent that week at the Lake on business. Fred Shinkie filed on eighty acres on Aspen Ridge while Carl Bark filed a homestead just east of Royer’s. Elmer Davis had workers putting up a house on his homestead. Fred Carlson and Kurt Kent resigned at the Lake and returned home. Mr. Wheeler returned home from Branston. Distemper affects many horses. a yearling is lost and another horse is ill. Carl Bark suffers pleurisy from a bath of water during a drive near the Gros Ventre. Milt Young, Elmer Davis and Wynne Halverson went north for contracts and work. Tikige residents were startled by a brief disturbance last Friday and Saturday. Snow crust on Sunday with light frost, sun melted it without garden damage. The summer term at Kelly ends today. Prof Moody and wife leave for Kansas. Moody may stay for a rest in the valley.

Fay Link Injured at Br. Clark Ranch Fence Collapse
Fay Link returned from Cora where he worked on the Br. Clark ranch. He suffered a fallen fence accident leaving him bruised and crippled. A dance at W.O.W Hall is advertised for July, and Kelly and Jackson are slated to play baseball at the Jackson grounds Sunday.

Wolves Seen Near Calves Attack Stopped by Rifle Shot
Last week J Pederson and Carlton Seif spotted two old wolves creeping toward calves owned by the Gee brothers. They dismounted unseen and My Swift fired from about thirty feet. The wolf escaped only to live another day, averting a likely live stock loss.
