Local Draft Exemption Boards Planned Across Population

The draft law calls for local exemption boards roughly for every 10 000 population with appointing power vested in the president. Boards will handle self executing exemptions and determine if those drafted qualify due to employment by government or other exemptions. An appeal system may place a district review board over local boards to preserve authority during emergencies. Specific rules will be set by the president.

Aspen Ridge Cattle Sale and Farm Activity Report

Nine head of cattle sold to Micky Adams from Aspen Ridge off Willinina. Gros Ventre Farm Loan Association held an all night session at Kelly last Saturday. Li m Kafferlin moved two loads of seed grain to Moran for Joe Markham. Wm. Thompson of Pacific Creek and Wm. Steingraeber of Elk visited the Grovent area for seed grain late last week. Ditch Creek and Gros Ventre river rising, former a proposition, latter unfolding in warm weather. J D Ferrin employs many hands on the Herb Farrow place, planting 90 acres. Mr and Mrs Doh Miller moved from Wm Jreton ranch to Ed Geek place rented by Don.

Town of TucksSon council adjourns after street grade talk

Official council minutes show Mayor Richard Winger and five councilmen meeting June 1 108% to discuss establishing a street grade. Action deferred pending surveys by O B Williams. Motion by Wort seconded by Simpson to adjourn carried. Clerk Pro Tem Harry Wagger noted.

Field at Biological Survey duties. plans for ranch improvements

Dr. G. W. Field who manages reservations for the Biological Survey left Monday for outside points after spending days with the federal ranch just west of Jackson. He arranged for improvements at the government ranch including new baying and farming machinery, fence repairs, and building. If plans succeed he will return in July.

Karns Undergoes Emergency Appendectomy At St Johns

June 22 in Jackson scene shows Mr and Mrs A J Whidden on business Tuesday evening. Thomas Carter and Richard Thornton returned to their Elle home to prove up on homesteads before Commissioner Williams White. The boys passed physicals and are now full members of Co M. Herrice and Percy Nowlin traveled from Wind River to Jackson last Friday. Percy enlisted in Co M upon arrival.
