Man Known as Fitameter Dies by Own Action
Word reached Jackson on Tuesday afternoon of the death by self inflicted gunshot of Mr. Fitameter who lived above Jackson Lake beyond the dam. He had been despondent over life and his lotto stake, leaving his house where his wife and sister in law and a soldier nearby heard a shot. Justice Winger planned a coroner’s inquest, delayed by the isolated cabin and ski travel. He is remembered for a prior snowslide incident with Mr Hechtman. Burial is expected near the home.
