Odd Fellows and Rebeccas Install and Banquet

The joint Installation of the Odd Fellows and Rebecca lodges occurred last Thursday night with well pre pared installing overts and credit to the lodges. Rev Evans and W C Delaney gave brief enthusiastic addresses. Forty three members attended and adjourned to the Deachtree hotel for a midnight banquet featuring geese ducks chickens and other provisions provided by lodge members and Jackson residents.

Barber Shop Burglarized. Theft Reported After Lock Forced

Local barber shop was burglarized Tuesday night last week when a person or persons forced the lock and entered. Items taken include a razor four hair clippers a bottle of hair wine and several soft drinks. The proprietor Dr Nuller has no idea who committed the crime or any clues to their identity.

Courier reports locating in the Mrs. W. Delaney building near the Taxidermy shop. The outfit is straightening its type Viet machinery and will resume job work. Mrs. T. H. Baxisi visited Aspen Ridge with friends last weekend, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Kent of Kelly were in town Tuesday.

Temperate Man Escapes Snake Attack at Barber Shop

Justice of the Peace R A Puller, drinking amid his private stock, spotted a large black snake in a cellar beneath his barber shop. He fled through the shop into the street after a close encounter, colliding with Fred Devo as bystanders were alerted to the danger.

Fatally Ill Passenger Feld Cunningham In Wyoming

J P Cunningham, a passenger on the outgoing stage bound for Butter Mountain, is reported fatally ill after a telegram about his brother’s serious condition. Mayo brothers in Rochester said nothing more could be done. The Victor Mercantile Co lowers seed oats price to 375 per 1000 pounds after calculating the freight bill.

Mass Meeting in Jackson Endorses Elk Welfare Resolutions

A Jackson Wyoming mass meeting led by Mayor Henry Crabtree and chairman T H Baxter adopted resolutions denying reports of elk starvation and unlawful killing. Idaho Game Breeders' A B Hulst defended conservation work with Biologic Survey official Henderson present. The group pledged cooperation with state and federal efforts and criticized a Salt Lake Tribune article about a local citizen.

Athletic Club Organizes After Local Gatherings
