Post Exchanges Supply Luxuries at Cantonment Centers

Post exchanges at cantonments handle large daily sales with about 40,000 demanding scent packages of candy. Each exchange serves roughly 10,000 workers, operates on credit, and issues 5 and 10 cent coupons to be settled monthly. With 250 exchanges, the annual business reaches many millions. Local notes mention excavations for a new house, a coal mine opening near Elk school, and a cabinet shop planned in the Steele building, plus a Christmas dance on December 25th at the Club House.

Bachelors Plan Meeting in Jacksons Hole on Christmas Day

The bachelors of Jacksons Hole are urged to attend a meeting at the Mr. and Mrs. Nephil Moulton residence in Club House on Christmas day at four o'clock. They will discuss plans for the annual Monday dance while noting local movement and social visits around Zenith and nearby ranch activity. John Barber visited from his Zenith area ranch earlier in the week. Jack Fee also traveled to town during the early part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. George Kelly and two sons left Wednesday for a prolonged visit to Newton, Iowa, with transportation via Harry Scott of Dry Hollow.
