Post communities fund and equip playgrounds pools and athletic fields at their own expense and back Boy and Girl Scout movements. Many posts organize scout troops and thousands serve as scoutmasters. They aid youth institutions and strive to keep schools open with civic education and patriotic observances, supporting scholarships and fostering broad Americanism.
A distinguished party led by H H Mayer, Kemmerer High principal, visited the city Friday evening. The group included Mrs Eilen Moyer of Iowa and Diamondville teachers Janot Vicers and Jim Vicers, with local guides led by Mr. Moyer. A boat ride on the lake and social events at Reed Hotel and Club House marked the third day before they continued toward Yellowstone.
Calvin Beagle the son of Mr and Mrs Beagle of Jackeoo has been awarded a scholarship at Stain University in Laramie. The selection was made by High Below teachers based on evidence of patient effort and future usefulness, marking a notable recognition of his academic promise.

The 50th wedding anniversary of Charles DeLoney and Clara Burton DeLoney was celebrated at Jackson on Tuesday August 20 1922. Family and friends gathered at the L D S Church in Jackson to honor the couple with a program and reflections on their life together.
