Earthquake Shakes Piel Valley. Seismograph Images Sent

Last Thursday a distinct quake rattled the Piel Valley region. Six pictures accompany a Courier submission showing seismographs across the country recording the vibrations. Local observers report noticeable shaking and ask residents to remain cautious as aftershocks potential follow.

Elk and Deer Numbers in Wyoming and Jackson Hole

In a letter to G. H. Dunn of Kemmerer, D. C. Nowlin asserts moose mainly surround Yellowstone, with numbers possibly doubling in 25 years due to a long closed season, while deer and mountain sheep have declined. Kelly Kolumn er and Mrs. H C Kent with Carl Kent visited Jackson last Saturday and stayed at the Orin Benton ranch on Flat Creek. Hat Creek neighbors held an Easter Sunday picnic at Sam McBride's home. Mrs. Wi Seebohm of Pine Creek visited Mr H C Kent on Ditch Pi one afternoon. Willine made several trips to Neil's on the Buffalo with grain and to Jackson. Will Jutso went to Ditch Creek from Buow Sloe Gulch last week. Jake Johnsons of Grovant entertained at an Easter dinner for Mr and Mrs Max Edick, Mrs and Mrs Van der Brook, John Kneedy and Karl Kent. Mr and Mrs James Budge hosted a card party. five hundred tables were played and refreshments served. Karl Kent of Grovant spent Friday night at the BO Kent's on Ditch Orgek. Mrs Tom Jump has been ill. Jack Foo Henry May and John itine kar attended a daily meeting in Jackson last week. Grand Teton Camp Fire Girls are practicing new songs and drills hoping to present a public council fire in Jackson as soon as snow clears.
