Appendicitis Delays Family’s Long Journey

Wyoming Stock Growers Oppose Enlargement

The Wyoming Stockgrowers association met at Basin and passed a resolution opposing the extension of Yellowstone’s boundaries. They urged using northern Lincoln County as a stock raising area and called for returning railroads to their rightful owners. About 100 stockmen attended. Cheyenne won next year’s convention. all officers from last year were re-elected.

Air Service and Forest Service Plan Aerial Fire Patrols

Airplanes and captive balloons will cover parts of California Arizona and New Mexico this summer under an order from Secretary Baker to aid in detecting and suppressing forest fires. Tests include bombing fires with chemicals and transporting firefighters by dirigibles while chief activity centers on fire detection. Aircraft will report via wireless and triangulation to locate fires, aiding lookout networks and offering training opportunities for fliers.
