Wyoming parties hold dual conventions May 1 and May 4

A county Democratic meeting in Kemmerer and a Republican session in Kemmerer and Sheridan set delegates for the May 10 state conventions. Democratic delegates meet in Casper and Republicans in Sheridan. delegates likely uninstructed as no clear candidate support has formed in Wyoming. Fred Lovejoy considers attending both Kemmerer and Sheridan events if possible. Spicer and Curtin introduced four new Fordrow tractors late last week.

Idaho Is To Get More Water From Wyoming

A Wyoming based Osgoodland and Live Company of progressive ranchers plan extensive work on Pacific Creek in the north end of the valley next spring. They have purchased water rights from five or six ranchers in Two Ocean and Matilda Lakes and are negotiating with C. Carlisle of Cheyenne. The deal follows a long story on how surplus water from the lakes was acquired. Wyoming officials promised residents no more water would be diverted to nonresidents, while concerns arise over Idaho water claims and a costly Snake River bridge, prompting calls to safeguard state interests via deed conditions.

Reed Family Plans Move to Inglewood California

Oliver Reed left for Inglewood California on Tuesday morning. His parents stay, while Mrs Reed will return to Jackson to settle property. State School Money Sets Aid at Four Hundred Eleven Thousand

State funds for education total 411,092.52 this year, up from 348,498.40 in 1919. Census shows 51,913 students, an increase of about 3,600 from last year. Per capita cost is 8.85 dollars. Lincoln county reports 49,427.31 dollars in appropriation for 4460 children.

Meeers Ward and Holste Arrive in Jackson for Summer Work

Meeers, Ward and Holste, motor mechanics from Idaho Falls, Idaho, arrived in Jackson last Friday. They visited the J. P. Ranch at the forepart of the week, where they have contracted to work this summer. The J. P. Ranch operates four tractors and requires the full time service of two mechanics.
