Nate Stevens a well known rancher from Vie tor Tiwaetiah near Teton Pass died last Saturday morning following an acute appendicitis operation earlier in the week. He reportedly contracted a convulsion and died as a complication, leaving many valley residents and Jackson’s Hole workers bereaved.
For sale household goods guns tents typewriter etc. See RW. Canfield Menor’s Ferry. John B Bewin starts duties as assessor and census taker for the Hole. Jas Simpson appointed for census work. Dr W A McKahan returned from St Anthony after visits. Otho Williams received inquiries about five act lease. Larson Wave began work on bar for Wimcks. P Sitepeon and edge saw business. Mr and Mrs Somers in town for daughter Kay visit. Sam McBiride and family in town with Kay. Fred Koerner hopes to buy a fancy racing mare for sale.
The Pure Food Club gathered at Mrs. H. M. Ely's home last Friday with good attendance. Members stitched fancy work and read club magazine articles offering practical household relief. Mrs. Bly, aided by Miss Georgia, served a substantial luncheon before adjourning to meet April 6 at Mrs. T. W. Lloyd's home.
St Ferrin returned from Jackson Monday with Jim McInelly who will visit the Werrly ranch. Nelson drove to Jackson Sunday to meet his parents Mr and Mrs Peter Nelson who returned from California. Willard Miner does carpentry at Buffalo Ranger Station. Mrs Pierce Cunningham and Mrs Karl Simpson visited the schoolhouse Thursday afternoon. Local young men hunt wolves.
Mr and Mrs W LaPlant spent Sunday in town with friends. Will sell any part of 560 acres of land in Spring Galch, noted as very good soil. W P Redmond comments through Mrs Jack Fee and baby te chels home near Khe Tue day after a visit with Hutt family. Mr and Mrs Saunders and children and Mise Mullen spent time in town Saturday. Charlie Wort made a business trip out toft Anthony early in the week. Lafe Jones bought a good team of mares from Dr Hull this week.
Kelly Koluma Carl Hark works for Kewin and vor on the Kelly-Bewin project. Neighbors report hay shortages for Grovont residents and several local visits. Rev Balcom conducted services after a hospital stay. John Taylor returned to Kelly. Norman Hialon and the Clark family settled back in. Yellow Dog book Club hosted guests from Tacoma. Lawrence Carlson saves timber for spring shop use. logs hauled from Antelope Springs to Kelly with plans for wagon work.
Frentag Service at Johns Church Friday afternoon at 3.00. Easter Sunday services planned at St. Martins Jackson at 7:30 and 11:00 a.m. and at Trinity Church Kelly at 2:00 p.m. Jackson trip set for April 1. Mes Charles Cook died after a long illness in Salt Lake City. She is survived by her husband and thirteen children, with the eldest and youngest aged one and a half. The death occurred following a brief operation, and the funeral will be held Monday with burial in nearby Kee Aneston. The family and friends of Keanston and Uinta Counties extend condolences.
Word arrived of the death of Margaret Hlewkentitge sister of Mes N. A. Denner of Cheney, with funeral arrangements at Tetontaddabo.
