Biggest Fair in the History of the Association

The Maquoketa Maquoketa fair drew record crowds over three days with sunshine and light showers, a top farm exhibit with ready stalls, an outstanding art hall, and popular free attractions. Steve Palmer wowed crowds with a 22 foot jump in an Overland car, while the Fearless Greggs and other acts kept midway thronged. Thursday’s crowd surged as parking overflowed into Gibson field, and attendees praised clean entertainment, strong concessions, and strong community support for a fair that cements Jackson County’s fine record and signals plans for an even brighter 1921 event. Band Leader Galaska led a capable Maquoketa band delivering notable music across the program.
