Preston Wedding Near Miles Marks Pleasant Prairie
The wedding of Miss Mabelle Fur- Foetame to Wayne Farley took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mann near Miles on Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. Rev L A Spooner officiated in the presence of about fifty relatives and friends. After a three course luncheon the couple left for Clinton enroute to Chicago for a week and will be at home to friends on the groom's father's farm. The couple are well known in the district and received many congratulations.

Memorial services planned for May 29 at Preston Methodist and Congregational churches with veterans honored and music by the Methodist choir. Rev. Spooner to deliver message. public invited. A farewell picnic by Epworth League was held Friday at Erbensburgers Grove for departing Preston teachers. Preston High School awarded diplomas to ten graduates in an Opera House ceremony. Notable remarks praised Iowa women attendees as Clinton hosted a standout group. Officers elected for the ensuing year include Mrs. EF Armstrong president and Mrs. Henry Taylor first vice president.
