Iowa Farm Credit Corporation forms from cooperative efforts
The state’s largest credit initiative, the Iowa Farm Credit Corporation, emerges as a rediscount organization built by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and the Iowa Bankers Association. L. A. Andrews retires as Iowa Bankers’ Association president and becomes president of the new corporation. Eleven farmers and eleven bankers from Iowa districts sit on the board, with Frank Yetter of Davenport and P. S. Wingert of Tipton as district directors. On Saturday July 16 Wingert sought Jackson County endorsement in Maquoketa.
