Is Horse and Buggy Safer than the Auto

A Jameyson suffered painful injuries Thursday night while driving home from the K C Excursion. His wife and two year old grandson John Barrett were with him when the horse became unruly on a hill near the Wade home, striking Jameyson with its heels. He sustained a fractured bone in his right hand and his grandson endured a dislocated finger and a bruised hand, while Jameyson and the child avoided further injury. The driver hitched the horse at the Maier barn and may have forgotten the britchen strap. The Bellevue Leader reports the incident.
