Board of Supervisors Discusses Road and Bridge Matters
The Board of Supervisors met at 1 p.m. with McGowan Campbell Jelly and Bayes present and others absent. They discussed road and bridge matters, heard a delegation from Green Island regarding the drainage district, and adjourned to 9 a.m. the next day. The following morning August 11 the board reconvened and authorized a $50 payment to S. H. Bowman in lieu of a certain route claim, and issued a warrant on the Road Cash fund. Further sessions approved a $600 warrant for a gravel deposit described as within a tract of land, and agreed to pay various session bills. Minutes show adjournments and motions by Campbell Kell and Hayes with all members voting aye.
