Subscribers Obligation Supreme Court Synopsis
A United States Supreme Court synopsis outlines rules for newspaper subscriptions. It states that non notifying subscribers are presumed to renew, publishers may bill arrears after discontinuance requests, delinquent readers are responsible until bills are settled, and moving without informing the publisher shifts liability. Refusing or abandoning unclaimed papers is prima facie evidence of fraud.
