College of Agriculture Wins Grand Fat Stock Prize at Missouri State Fair

The College of Agriculture won the Grand Championship for the best animal at the fair, with Herbert the two year old steer. They also captured five champions seven firsts two seconds and two thirds on fat cattle. Prizes will be returned for livestock instruction starting November 1 in the Short Winter Course. Notice: stockholders of Williams Land and Improvement Co meet November 6 1909 to dissolve the company and surrender the charter.

101 Ranch Wild West Show comes to Cape Girardeau

Cape Girardeau will host the 101 Ranch Real Wild West Show on October 26. The touring tented unit features Miller brothers 101 Ranch staff, Indian dancers, bulls and horse acts, and rolls with a trained animal circus. Hadley Attends Trip in Van Buren and Doniphan

Governor Hadley addressed residents in Van Buren in Carter county last week and with his party traveled along Current river to Doniphan where the pleasure trip concluded. The big spring three miles south of Van Buren was rechristened Hadley Spring at the suggestion of Senator George T. Lee a Democrat.
