Southeast Medical Association elects officers at Farmington meeting

The Southeast Medical Association held a meeting in Farmington last week electing B. W. Hays of Jackson as president and C. B. Fleming of Farmington as vice president. Also named were T. C. Allen of Bernie as corresponding secretary and W. S. Hutton of Farmington as secretary, with numerous physicians in attendance from Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, Marble Hill, Fredericktown, Freeport, and Farmington among others.

J M A Changes Hands At Jackson Military Academy

Cols Birmingham and Hamlin have sold their interests in the Jackson Military Academy to J B Miller who will run the school with a six member faculty of two Methodists two Presbyterians and two Baptists. Hamlin remains to manage while the academy continues as an inter denominational military school. The town hopes for better patronage and continued support for the school and its integration with the public system.
