Health improves as spring nears in local notes
Health is getting better as spring comes nearer. John Noland killed five snakes in one pile one day last week near Oriole. Mrs. Nora Whetstine of Jackson has been visiting some in these parts for a few days. She says she will go then to her husband, who is in Indiana. E. H. Brush has a new gasoline engine. He will run a planner with it. Several people have been getting maps with the Herald and all are well pleased with them. Jesse Johnson came very near losing an eye last week by running a limb in it. Bern and Glen Davis took a duck hunt on the river last week on an island. The wind got to blowing and they could not leave the island until after night, when the wind settled. Reports are not very flattering. SCRIBBLER.
