The Revenge of the Duke of Lambay in Paris
This richly lurid tale centers on the Duke of Lambay once living in Paris with a vast hidden diamond hoard and a violent, enigmatic manner. His former valet Henry Shaw robs the strong box but is captured. Lambay’s final vengeance unfolds as he imprisons Shaw in a cellar with a murderous mastiff, leading to Shaw’s death and the duke’s ominous departure to Switzerland.
