Pistol Shot in Heart Ends Life in Burfordville
Rowland Fulenwider of Burfordville died by his own hand last Saturday. An inquest in Jackson found he shot himself three times, twice in the breast and once in the arm, with the pistol still in his grasp. Financial troubles were cited as the motive. He leaves a wife, three children, two sisters, and three brothers. his mother and wife were left nervous. Burial occurred last Sunday in the city cemetery amid a large funeral procession.

Schumer Springs Hotel Sees New Management and Guests
Dr. Mayfield and family moved into a cottage as J A Armstrong and wife take charge of the hotel. The springs attract guests from neighboring towns and St. Louis. Thirty five were entertained at the Sanitarium last week with more arrivals anticipated in July for the hillside resort. Mrs Conner and sons Curtis are among those mentioned.
