Tippa Camp Fire Girls First Regular Meeting

Miss Ettie Burns hosted the Tippa Camp Fire Girls for their first regular meeting. Rooms were decorated with chrysanthemums and ferns as guests were welcomed. The year’s work was outlined and officers elected. A neat salad course was served by the hostess with Miss Louise Rayburn assisting. next meeting set for November 18.

Teachers Association elects officers at Tishomingo meeting

The Tishomingo County Teachers Association met on Oct 21 with Prof. J O Looney in charge for devotional exercises. HC Long was elected President, AK Babb 1st Vice President, E Stricklin 2nd Vice President, Annie Wren Secretary, and Gladys Hodges Assistant Secretary. A program was arranged and discussed by Miss Hes ter and others. Superintendent Phill urged teachers to improve schools. The group adjourned to reconvene at one.
