Natural gas ignited by foundation borers at Muscle Shoals last week sending flames about twenty feet high. Reports hint at coal and oil beneath. A large gathering of congressmen, senators and leaders debated a Tennessee River obstruction removal plan. Gov. Henderson said Alabama would carry out the required work in ten years if allowed to govern the project. Attendees numbered in the thousands and enjoyed royal entertainment during the day’s festivities.
Proceedings detail road petitions by A E Bostick et al for routes from Iuka to Russellville and Baldwyn areas, and link 84 changes to Bell Campbell residence and Forest schoolhouse. Includes prisoner expenses, county fund balances, road overseer appointment, gate permissions, farm repair contracts, pole and lumber purchases, and various county service charges.

Financial statement for Muka Guaranty Bank Tukadi Tiab omingo Mississippi shows resources totaled 56 371 90 in loans and overdrafts 6 000 00 cash 8 560 00 gold and silver 800 00 furniture 6 497 24 and due from other banks 104 043 28 liabilities include capital stock 15 000 00 surplus 1 490 06 undivided profits losses interest expenses taxes and deposits. Cashier L T Gatses signs the document sworn May 5 1915 before W D Friason a Mississippi notary public with his commission expiring 1917.

It also notes a 30 day offer of Brinkley's White Plymouth Rock eggs at one dollar per setting, and a for sale notice listing a good horse, buggy, and harness, with contact Granville Dudley in Inka, Mississippi.
