Iuka Mineral Springs Hotel Reopens After Complete Remodeling
Announcement states the Mineral Springs Hotel of Iuka has been remodeled and furnished from basement to attic with hot and cold baths sanitary toilets a full telephone system and new comfortable beds. Southern Railway now provides 20 minute noon and supper stops. J A Davenport leads staff to offer rest and recuperation and invites old patrons and North Mississippi residents to visit and support the reborn resort.

Infant dies in Iuka and funeral travels noted
An infant, child of Reg and Mrs. C. C. Clark, died in north Iuka after a short illness aged about five months. The body was taken to Tuscumbia and then to a country graveyard seven miles south, buried beside another child. Attending family and friends are listed, with further notices of church services, a note about a Minn. summer trip, and a new geological volume on Mississippi pottery clays.

Trains Stop For Meals At Mineral Springs Hotel
Trains Nos 35 and 36 now take meals at the Mineral Springs Hotel starting last Sunday. No 36 will dine and 35 supper. The hotel management secured the railroad concession and prepared to please travelers with improved fare. A barrel of spring water sits on the stoop. J Cary Thompson of Birmingham, Ala, bought the property and plans further improvements to make it a premier Southern hostelry. Julia welcomes Mr Thompson and pledges support to promote the town as a top summer resort in the South.

Mrs Ed Bonds Dies in Birmingham at 20
Mrs Ed Bonds aged about 20 died in Birmingham Alabama on June 8 from malarial typhoid fever leaving one child. She was a daughter of Mr Tube Milligan near Short. The funeral was held at Indian Creek graveyard on June 10 conducted by Mr do W Bonds.
