Power of Love at the Trysting Spot under Union Blue

A 19th century style poem narrates a young woman named Amanda Capers Nevileb who battles forbidden love for a Rebel lover. She rejects passion to remain loyal to the Union and the Blue, finally crowning her hero and following the patriotic path. The poem blends romantic longing with Civil War era allegiance and ends with a triumphant salute to the gray conquering champion.

Candidates for District Office Clash in Ells Court Arena

A satirical verse lists residents and claimants for district posts. It mocks tax appeals and court duties. Singing Convention at Union Church near Dennis Miss

The Tishomingo County Singing Convention will convene July 30 1915 at Union Church four miles east of Dennis Mississippi for three days. Prof Oslin of Stigler Oklahoma and other singers are expected. Everyone is invited to attend. LC Bellamy Clerk.
