The United States Food Administration bans Licensees from buying shipping or selling live or freshly killed hens or pullets between February 11 and April 30 1918. An exception allows transactions for hens or pullets already killed or shipped before February 11 and those kept for egg production. Effective February 11 1918.

Sergeant Jofyr T. Plnhiff, an American veteran of the Canadian expeditionary force, clears the Redpath Bureau to lecture here about the war. He describes trench life, over the top charges, and roles as bomber mineliner gate keeper and stretcher bearer while displaying gas masks and weapons. Vicksburg Mississippi February 16 1918 notice directs to limit sugar and flour sales to specified weights for urban and rural customers. Prohibits advertising encouraging increased purchases during the national crisis. Flour to be sold only at whole sale and retail with normal profit. Also a separate note from L A McKrows declining pastoral calls due to workload.
