District 88 drops suit over unused tax fee portion

High School District 88 abandons plans to sue DuPage County to reclaim unused 3 percent tax collection fees. Atty. Kenneth S. Jacobs cites Illinois constitutional provisions statutes and court decisions. The board may seek legislative change to require counties to refund unused portions.

Village Ham Radio Club Maps 260 Contacts in Field Day Test

Wood Dale Amateur Radio Club joined a world wide field day test staged by the ARRL to assess emergency communications. The nine adults and 32 members contacted about 260 stations during a 27 hour alert despite a two hour power outage.
