Roselle Village President Declines Trustee Appointment
Roselle Village President Robert Frantz said he will not name a trustee to fill the vacancy on the seven member board. The vacancy stems from Carl B. Hilblom’s resignation last November and with six weeks until the April 15 election he sees no point in appointing. Current appointees are Robert Gurke Anthony Bonavolenta Mrs Betty Lou Mann and Raymond Casperson. Frantz and Ramon Berg are the only elected members. all board members including Village Clerk Mildred Winkler face April elections. Frantz has filed as an independent. William Florence is a former United Party replacement, and William Seddon has filed for village presidency.

Soden Named Girl Scout Sustaining Membership Chairman in DuPage
Raymond R. Soden of Bensenville is appointed chairman of sustaining membership enrollment for the Girl Scouts of DuPage County Council based in Addison with service units in Itasca Wood Dale and surrounding towns. He will head the 1969 drive and work with troop finance chairs to enroll members during Girl Scout Week March 9 through 15.

Land-Fill Project Granted by DuPage County Board
The DuPage County board of supervisors approved a land-fill operation for combustible materials at Barrington Road near Fisher Road, west of Bloomingdale. The zoning board of appeals had recommended denial of a variation and special use permit, but was overruled.

DuPage Juvenile Officers Plan Meeting on Legislation
The DuPage County Juvenile Officers Association will meet March 13 at 9 30 a.m. in Wheaton with the DuPage County board of supervisors to discuss possible legislation to improve juvenile conditions. Richard George, president, extended the invitation to all juvenile officers at the association's annual seminar. The board asked officers to present ideas for state and county laws to aid delinquents and to consider passing local measures or lobbying in Springfield.
