Special Session Unlikely for Primary Law
Gov Norris is unlikely to call a special session to enact a state primary law. Commission secretary B Y Law of Bozeman says the chance of success is remote as 38 of 72 lower house members support the bill and only 11 of 23 senators have approved. He notes the preliminary vote shows the session would not justify the expense.

Old Sheepherder Tom Corcoran Murdered in Marmarth
Marmarth Mail reports the murder of Tom Corcoran an elderly railway conductor long trusted by G H Salt. Corcoran who herded sheep near town had recently visited Aberdeen and planned to return to the range. Salt found Corcoran’s injured dog and then discovered the lifeless body in the sheep wagon Monday morning.
