Republicans Unite in Silver Bow Boost for Ticket

In Butte Democrats split over county attorney race as Republicans rally. Bookmakers post three to one odds that Pray Morley and A will win and that the assembly will stay Republican. Labor and independent voters count in a bid to shift the county balance amid Democratic disarray.

New School Districts Created by County Superintendent

Miss Mary Lee Wilson announces several new districts after petitions. District 33 will split from Ismay, with trustees B. B. Jones Frederick G. Grantz and T. J. Riley appointed. District 34 cuts from district 14 including Sikes Post Office. District 35 splits from districts 1 and 18 with Willard nearest post office, trustees R. E. Lambert M. G. Berry L. M. Morrison. District 36 from districts 12 and 18, schoolhouse south of Baker about fourteen miles, trustees H. A. Cate Fred Kreager H. L. Young. District 87 cuts from district 31 with schoolhouse about 10 miles south of Ismay. Mil dred petition heard but denied for posting irregularities. Askins et al petition between Ismay and Tee Dee will be heard soon.

Ismay Contemplates Annexing Miles City to Halt Rivalry

Brother Gordon of the Yellowstone Journal notes Miles City’s voting strength rose from 992 to 1836 in two years, an 85 percent increase, while Ismay’s own registration grew from 35 to 162, a 363 percent jump. The Commercial club of Ismay ponders annexing Miles City to curb the rivalry.

Eggleston Ranch bachelor dance draws sixty guests

A Saturday evening party at the Eggleston ranch near Westmore honored the new cook and the end of bachelor days. N A Eggleston and Paul Noll hosted about sixty young people from Ismay Westmore and surrounding areas. The Gensley Lewis string orchestra provided music as guests enjoyed oyster stew sandwiches cake and coffee at a three course supper.

A special meeting in the school house re organized Ismay Sunday school with Superintendent Mrs Whitehouse Assistant Superintendent Mrs Crandall Secretary Miss Moore Treasurer Miss Waltrath organist Mrs Crandall Bible class teacher Mrs Foster Boys class teacher Mr Crandall Girls class teacher Miss Emma Polda Primary class teacher Mrs G W Burt The Sunday school meets Sundays at 2 pm with a sermon by Rev E H Johnson to follow.

Death of Wm Hill and son in Montevideo wreck

The Journal reports the deaths of Wm Hill and his son Thomas in a weekend wreck at Montevideo Minnesota. Wm Hill was a longtime Montana stockman who lived in the Pine Hills south of Miles City. his associate Wm Dominy was badly scalded and not expected to recover. Hill's eldest daughter is married to Judge Sydney Lanner. The paper extends heartfelt sympathy to the family.

Yellowstone Republican Ticket Backed by Local Figure

Fred H. Hathhorn former Yellowstone County attorney said Yellowstone will elect a straight Republican ticket on November 8 with strong support for state senate candidate M J Lamb and legislator candidate C S Bell. He praised Lamb and discussed party unity while also backing Justice Theodore Brantley for the supreme court. He noted Milk River water rights and Dodson dam project implications for irrigation and land protection.
