Ismay adopts a graded religious education plan from ages four to twenty one with new weekly lessons and aims to meet spiritual needs at each development stage. The pastor invites parents to join next Sunday at ten o'clock in the school building. Also includes a humorous exchange from Harpers Weekly and a note on a writer who delivers the most knowledge with minimal time.
In county seat contests the Bull Moose party and Democrats held conventions. The Bull Moose named a full slate including State Senator J L Wilson and Sheriff Ben Levalley. Democrats nominated O C Cato for State Senator and James Ramsey for Clerk of Court among others. Delegates from Ismay included R L Anderson and Chas de Graffenreid as alternates.
Harvest on Pennel creek near completion as school opens September 2 with Miss Minna Nabholsz as teacher. Zabel Bros start threshing at Dr. Lewis place. Fred Grats and sons finish a new school fence. Miss Veral Thistlewood visits Miss Bernice Jones in Miles City. Earl Gratz returns from Pow der river. B B Jones holds most of 450 acres in shock. Community events include a dance Aug 24 at Ismay and a bowery dance finale. Westmore Ladies Aid met Aug 14 in the Pennel creek bowery with attendees from Ismay.
Flax harvest and stacking progress as locals share time with relatives. Tom Pierce and wife from Wisconsin visited Ernest Burch and family. J M Baker spent three days aiding assessors. Mrs Theo Schye visits Wilson barn while Theo harvests nearby. Mrs Henry Beardsley hosted North Cottonwood girls for Elizabeth and Esther Baker birthdays on August 33rd with a party and refreshments.
Five o'clock saw the girls depart for their homes after a gathering in honor of Elizabeth and Esther. They extended warm wishes and many happy returns on the occasion.
