The Montana treasury announces a bumper crop season and offers free advertisement space in a new Monthly Bulletin. It invites readers to list lands and properties for sale to be promoted through the bulletin.
A big harvest picnic is planned for September 7 at McLean Creek south of Ismay. Sanization committee formed with H. B. Shrove president and Chas Walker as vice president. Sports include ball game prize ten dollars and various contests with cash prizes. a Bowery dance will feature music in the afternoon and evening. Bring lunches and attend.
Secretary E M Adams of the Custer County Fair Association is in town gathering agricultural samples for the Miles City fair on Sept 13 to 15. Officials aim to boost county representation at the state fair in Helena, with emphasis on grains farm produce livestock and poultry while trimming racing purses.
Felix Z Gray, Ismay postmaster, has submitted his resignation to the U S Post Office at Washington effective October 1. Friends regret losing a capable courteous official whose leadership expanded Ismay office business and improved fixtures. Locals hope he and his family stay as progressive residents of Ismay.
Notice that Mary E. Long of Moorhead Montana filed for final proof on 320 acres in Custer County Montana. The filing is before U S Commissioner F T Kelsey at Moorhead on September 29 1411 and lists witnesses Thomas R Powers William C Dodds Fred Yonkers George W Long.
