Local Baker Visitors and Light Mishap Reported

Mesdames Oscar Brackett and J M Reiflin came up from Ismay by auto Thursday. M O'Roughlin returned from Terry Tuesday reporting Brubaker farm wheat at 20 bushels per acre. Henry Wood wife and Mrs O Conner visited Knowlton property prospects. J H Schmidt C C Russell Martin Russell and others boated. they tipped over but escaped harm as water was shallow. Russell’s snuff switch blamed for the mishap.

Harvest time on Pennell Creek noted in local brief

Pennell Creek harvest underway as residents report social activity. W E Voss spent Sunday at home. Mrs. Steadman of Wisconsin visiting Mrs. Kate Hoffman. Edith Cooper arrived from Ismay for a bowery dance, returning to work Monday. Multiple locals attended dances, gatherings, and a grove picnic planned August 14. A carpet raffle at the Saturday dance drew ticket holder Glen White.
