County Fair of Custer County Opens with Community Drive
An open letter from the County Fair Association invites every resident of Custer County to support the 1911 fair starting September 13. The appeal highlights a $2000 debt to be wiped out, a half mile track, and a variety of attractions including a decorated auto parade, endurance horse race, courier race, push ball, greased pole and pig contests, and a countywide coalition to boost attendance and premiums.

Road dispute ends with dismissal in Miles City case
Justice of the Peace John Gibb dismissed charges against Mont Archdale and Lionel Archdale after a clash with road supervisor Henry Wood over opening a road between Knowlton and Terry. The men wanted a through route through the Archdale ranch. Wood pressed his plan and was struck with a club. County commissioners may pursue a settlement.
