Irvine district adopts case by case LGBT approach
Irvine Unified School District favors blanket nondiscrimination policies and case by case support for LGBT students. Staff receive sensitivity training while counselors work with families and faculty to tailor help. Campus resources include LGBT clubs, safe space signs, gender neutral housing and bathrooms, and a Transgender Task Force driving new options.
