Great Park board forms five committees in inaugural meeting
Orange County Great Park Corp. board met five hours in its first session, creating five committees and adding four chairs. The nine member panel includes the City Council and four council appointees, overseeing development of the 3600 acre park on the former El Toro base with plans for 3400 homes, open space, stores and senior housing. Board members praised the milestone as a watershed moment for Santa Ana and unincorporated areas.
