Irvine Resident Melville Ellis Dies After Office Collapse
Melville James Ellis 59 a former Irvine resident collapsed at his office on August 13 and died the same day at UCI Medical Center in Orange. Born May 29, 1943 in Philadelphia he grew up in New Jersey and held degrees from the University of Connecticut. He moved to California in 1972 settling in Irvine and enjoyed sailing and golf. Services are pending at a local golf course. his wife Jacquie Ellis is chief executive officer of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce.
