Baldes Bound Over After Preliminary Exam in Wife Murder

Orange City reports Matt Baldes bound over to the grand jury and bailed at 5000 after expert testimony linked bruising to his wife’s death from a stomach injury that paralyzed the heart’s pneumogastric nerve. Sedgwick Recommended for Hawarden Postmaster

Congressman Hubbard indicated he would recommend Geo Sedgwick for the Hawarden postmaster position. Bound Over to Grand Jury in Davison Bowling Alley Case

Amid a mix up at Davison Bowling alley Friday evening proprietor Hugh Davison and son George were arrested. George Davison faced a $25 fine for fracturing an ordinance and resisting an officer, with an appeal bond to district court. Hugh Davison was bound over for the western district court after Justice Carter found sufficient evidence. The melee stemmed from a fight between the Davisons and Albert Digke Wak ist.

Bowling alley dispute stirs town after brawl incident
