Jno A Walraven, 49, Sioux county resident and Orange City marshal, died after jaw lock and a broken wrist suffered in a wagon accident. He had been deputy sheriff since 5 years and was nominated for sheriff at the Republican county convention in Alton. Cyrene DeBooy is a county official cousin.

Cream Separator Accident Ends Life of Local Teen
A 17 year old, George Frerichs Jr., was killed when a cream separator bowl exploded during a test. Four other boys were injured, including Henry Frerichs who lost sight in one eye and Ernest who sustained arm injuries. The group, minus a hat, caused the accident by turning the bowl. the tragedy occurred near Ireton Plymouth County. The funeral is scheduled today. George was nephew to Mr and Mrs Zimmerman of Ireton.
