Bilas Carter who lived about five miles southwest of Bethel Obis died yesterday afternoon after a brief illness. He was at work in the field that day and worsened around quitting time. he died before a physician could reach him. Carter was born in Bethel Obis February 2 1848 and moved to Jack county twenty five years ago. He married Angélina Brown, who survives. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at his residence conducted by Rev. D. A. Millery of Plysouth County. The community extends sympathy to his wife and relatives. The advertisement promotes Chamberlain's Pain Balm for rheumatism relief, sold by Ge F. Hoffman and Co. Druggist.
