Mrs. David Blankenhorn aged long illness died at her home while speaking with her son Irwin and his wife Friday evening. Born Maria Courtney in Ireland on March 17 1866 she came to America in 1885 and married David Blankenhorn in 1888. Survived by husband three sons Ray Irwin Floyd daughter Leila Graber three sisters and one brother. Funeral at the old home north of Crawfordsville and at the Letts Methodist Church with interment in Letts cemetery.

County Board Meets and City Council Convene
The County Board of Supervisors held a regular meeting Monday and Tuesday handling routine business and monthly bill payments. The City Council met Monday evening and heard a drainage proposal for the southeast part of town by A J Waldschmidt and Frank Chilcote, taken under advisement. A committee from the council will review the contract with the Washington Concert Band and police powers were delegated to Charley Phillips and William Bailey.
