Frederick and Farrier Bound Over to Grand Jury
While at church Sunday George Fulton's family home in Franklin was entered and a suit of clothes stolen. Sheriff Denison arrested Clarence Frederick of Chicago wearing the stolen clothing and he was jailed to await grand jury action. Timothy J. Farrier, held on wife desertion charges, was arraigned and bound over to the grand jury.

Early Days in Dutch Creek Through D C Robertson Tales
D C Robertson recalls long life in Washington County with his homestead founded 1842 during Polk presidency. He describes Dublin village growth from a saloon to a town with a doctor, wagon maker, blacksmiths and stores, and mentions a cheese factory. The Wellman Independent District voters approved a 40000 bond for a schoolhouse addition and gymnasium. Total turnout 442 ballots with 270 yes and 172 no. The plan funds reconstructing the present building and adding facilities for classes and basketball. Local residents used cars to ensure no one was missed at the polls.
