White Sox managers Lynch and Stack rented Le Mars ball park for next year. A walking match drew nine Sioux City starters. winners finished in 5 hours 12 minutes.

Lawsuits filed for cemetery mishap and crash
Two lawsuits filed Thursday in the Clerk of Court Arlan Beech office seek a total of 77227.13 dollars for personal injuries. Marilyn Hillrichs sues St John Evangelical Lutheran church Preston townships trustees and others over a June 15 1965 cemetery accident that left her permanently disabled and hospitalized. Mariann Louise Gotto sues David and Michael West for 35000 dollars over a February 7 1965 two car collision on highway 75 near Le Mars causing permanent pelvic injuries. The notices also list numerous real estate transfers with nominal sums and a few large property deeds in the area.
