The Le Mars Jaycee Ettes held their May meeting electing Mrs. Russell Kroepel as president. Installation of all officers is set for June 1 after a Club cafe dinner, with the election meeting at Mrs. Pete Van der Meer Jr.'s home.
Regular meeting held Saturday May 14 at the Janssen home with twelve members two leaders and three visitors present. They pledged to the U S flag discussed district camp June 6 and a club tour. Gail Johnson and Beverly Janssen spoke on citizenship. Demonstrations included Seam Finishes Darts and stay stitching and Hems. Lamch was served by Beverly Johnson and the reporter.
The Grant township farm bureau women met May 19 for a dessert luncheon hosted by Mrs. Lester Johnson. They worked on their local project, prepared plates of fruit candy and homemade cookies for 65 Plymouth residents, and planned a September display case at the local museum featuring each club’s exhibits.
