LHS Linksters Triumphs and Trials Across Spring Meets
Le Mars linksters split a Triangular with Sheldon and Gehlen on April 15 placing second at 177 to Sheldon 170. Medallists include Crayne Stead and Miller. On April 26 the boys defeated Hawarden 164 to 221 at Le Mars Country Club with Crayne 37 and Stead 41 guiding the win. Girls weathered rain on April 27 missing meet with Heelan and district play set for Mapleton May 6 with state berth through first two district places. Roger Klopp profiled as longtime LCHS biology teacher driving ecology and science fair efforts. he plans further study in July in New York.

Tea Teachers Career Month Ends With LCHS FTA Tea
The LCHS FTA closed Teaching Career Month with a after school tea in the homemaking kitchen on Wednesday April 27. Coffee and cake were served to teachers administrators secretaries and other school staff. The group honored two Teachers of the Day with paper carnations and the event offered a chance to visit in a more festive setting. Vicki Ridge and Miss Martha Kueblar led the affair.
