Arbor Day centennial observed with classroom tree kits
The Iowa Conservation Commission announced that every fourth grade class will receive a Trees for Environment Kit and an oak seedling to mark Arbor Day centennial. Kits from the state nursery in Ames precede April 1 and include grow blocks Norway Spruce seed and an instruction booklet. An oak seedling will follow for Arbor Day ceremonies around April 28.
