A large group from Le Mars Federated clubs attended the Plymouth county Federated clubs spring meeting at the Westfield Congregational church. The day included addresses on Use What You Have, a candlelighting memorial, a noon luncheon, and an afternoon style show with photos from a Caribbean trip titled Mixup in Eden.

Six polling places set for school bond election
Six voting sites are arranged for the April 8 school bond election. Booths will be at town halls in Seney Craig Brunsville and Merrill the Vocational Agriculture building and the Central Auditorium in Le Mars. Voters will decide on expending 80000 from the schoolhouse fund for a new vocational agriculture building in Le Mars and bus storage buildings in Mars and Merrill. Born to Mr and Mrs Carleton Monroe at Gordon Memorial
A baby boy was born March 25 at Gordon Memorial hospital in Sioux City to Mr and Mrs Carleton Monroe of Westfield. Fire destroyed a building attracting several hundred spectators. Firemen used a quick spray from the hose to keep the crowd back as fire weather hampered operations and ambulance access was delayed by crowding near the Elks Club.
